Instructions / Advise to Affiliated Colleges of JNTUH for charging of fees during Lockdown /unlock due to COVID-19 pandemic

 JNTUH Please find attached the letter received from the Commissioner of Technical Education, Nampally, Hyderabad regarding the fee to be collected from the students. You are hereby informed to strictly adhere to the directions given in the letter.

In the Ref. cited, the Member Secretary, AICTE, New Delhi has issued instructions regarding the complaints received from the students / parents that some of the Institutions are charging Hostel/ transport fee during COVID-19 pandemic whereas these facilities are not availed by the students. In this regard, the Member Secretary, AICTE, New Delhi has advised that the Institutions should charge only maintenance charges of mess and transport. Also it is instructed to charge the fees commensurate with the facilities that they are providing during pandemic and not charge fees for those portions which are not accessible to students, failing which action will be taken as per the prevailing rules.

In the circumstances, all the Principals of Govt. / Pvt. Aided / Pvt. Unaided . Polytechnics and 2nd shift Polytechnic in Engineering Colleges / Professional Colleges (University / Constituent / Affiliated Engineering / Pharmacy / MBA / MCA) in Telangana State shall follow the above said instructions issued by the Member Secretary, AICTE, New Delhi, failing which suitable penal action will be initiated against the Institutions flouting the above instructions.
