GATE 2019: List Of PSUs Accepting GATE Score

GATE 2019 will be conducted in February 2019. GATE of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducted admission to M.Tech. and PhD programs offered at IITs and IISCs. Apart from its function as the eligibility criteria for higher education, GATE scores are also used by several PSUs for recruitment purpose. 

In the past, organizations such as 

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL),

Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), 

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), 

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), 

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), and Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCI) have recruited candiadtes on the basis of GATE score. 

Each PSU announces the recruitment process separately. 

Apart from the PSUs, GATE score is also used for direct recruitment to Group A posts in Central government. The posts for which candidates are recruited on the basis of their GATE score are Senior Field Officer (Tele), Senior Research Officer (Crypto), and Senior Research Officer (S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. 

Candidates who are aiming for any of these recruitment should make sure to complete their GATE 2019 application process on time. The last date to apply for GATE 2019 is September 21, 2018. Those who miss the last date can apply till the extended last date, that is October 1, 2018.
